Radiology and Ultrasound
 

The medical team is composed of 3 specialized doctors in radiology, ultrasound, and mammography.

The department includes:                                       

• 2 remote-controlled radiology rooms equipped with plane sensors.
• 1 digital mammography room                                                                      .
• 3 ultrasound units equipped with high-end ultrasound scanners.

The department carries out all the diagnostic tests: osteoarticular, digestive, genitourinary, thoracic, pediatric, mammography and ultrasound radiology.

The center features state-of-the-art ultrasound machines with 4-D images using the new HD Live technology.

All interventional ultrasound examinations are also performed: punctures and biopsies.

The entire service is digitized

The Medical Imaging Department of Aboujaoudé Hospital carries out annually 20,000 radiological examinations, 11,400 ultrasounds, and 2,000 mammograms.

Special preparation : the Radiological examination of the bones and lungs requires no special preparation. Other examinations may require preparation. It is specified to you when making appointments.

The Radiology / Ultrasound department of Aboujaoudé Hospital is contracted with almost all Lebanese insurance.

Lebanese Social Security reimburses 80% of the exam. The supplement can be covered by your private insurance, partially or in full depending on the contract you have subscribed.

MRI and CT-Scanner 

The medical team is composed of three specialized doctors.

The service is equipped with a Low Dose Multidetector Helical C T Scanner
 

This device allows a volumetric acquisition of the images in a few seconds allowing reconstructions in all the planes of space and 3D volume.

The department performs annually more than 4,100 MRI and 5,000 scanners.

Appointment: Appointment is mandatory. Waiting times are around two days for an MRI and one day for a scanner.

The Scan / MRI service of Aboujaoudé Hospital has an agreement with almost all the Lebanese insurance.

The Scanner and MRI services are contracted with the Social Security The patient with his prior agreement pays only 20%.

Such reviews prior agreement of social security is essential to guarantee repayment of the review.

The vascular laboratory explorations of Aboujaoudé Hospital has:

• 3 color pulsed echo doppler.
• 1 continuous dopplers.

Bone Densitometry
 

The bone densitometry department of Aboujaoudé Hospital is located within the Department of Medical Imaging.

He carries out all the examinations of osteodensitometry: wrist, hip, lumbar spine, whole body.

Bone densitometry makes it possible to instantly measure bone mass and mineral content and determine the risk of fracture. It defines osteoporosis according to criteria that have been set by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Bone Densitometry is an examination

•  Painless
• Reliable (approximately 99% accuracy)
• Fast (2 to 5 minutes)
• Very low irradiation (20 times less than an x-ray of the lungs).

It is a device using DEXA technology "Dual Energy Xray Absorptiometry" reference technique for the measurement of bone mineral density according to the WHO.

Special Preparation: No preparation is necessary. On the other hand, if you have undergone an examination that requires either a product injection (for a scintigraphy or x-ray) or a barium enema, you must wait eight days before performing a bone densitometry.

Dental Imaging

The service is equipped with a digital device with plane sensor for the realization of panoramic radiographs dental and lateral teleradiographs.

This device also performs the CBCT (Cone Beam CT) for maxillary scanning, most often requested as part of dental implant projects
